As part of the efforts of the Saudi Electricity Company in digital transformation, enhancing supply chain reliability, and promoting local content, a contract for 3D printing and digital inventory has been signed between the Saudi Electricity Company and the National Industrial Innovation Company (NAMI) on Monday, May 13, 2024, corresponding to 5 Dhu al-Qa'dah 1445 AH.
This collaboration aims to locally manufacture spare parts for the equipment of the Saudi Electricity Company using reverse engineering techniques and advanced 3D printing. It will be followed by a complete transfer of technical specifications and engineering drawings of the spare parts to a digital system, significantly reducing the production time of the parts, as well as reducing the financial cost and storage capacity requirements for the parts.
