In an effort to enhance partnerships between academia and industry, King Saud University, represented by the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing, and the National Industrial Innovation Company "NAMI," have signed a memorandum of understanding "MOU" to explore new horizons in research and development. The signing ceremony, held at the university campus, was attended by His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Yazeed bin Abdulmalik Al Al-Sheikh, and the CEO of NAMI, Eng. Mohammed bin Mundhir Suwaidan.


The agreement aims to support innovative research and develop practical solutions for current industrial challenges in the Kingdom. It also seeks to provide advanced training opportunities for students, enhancing their skills and providing them with a distinguished practical experience. Dr. Yazeed bin Abdulmalik Al Al-Sheikh emphasized that this agreement represents a significant step towards enhancing cooperation between the university and the private sector, expressing hope that these efforts will yield positive results for the community and the national economy. Eng. Mohammed bin Mundhir Swaidan expressed pride in this partnership, affirming that collaboration with King Saud University will effectively contribute to achieving pioneering innovations that support industrial development and meet the needs of the local market.
